Its two years since one of Quickspin’s most popular and recognizable games, Sticky Bandits, hit the UK casino scene. A lot has happened since then – including the rise of Big Time Gaming and the Megaways™ slots series. Well now Scandanavia’s finest have decided to revisit this modern classic and pimp it up higher variance and a higher payout potential more in keeping with the times (though still a long way off what we see in some of latest hard core, high risk slots coming out each month). Once again it’s all about wilds, sticky wilds and free spins, though this time Quickspin have added in an extra mini slot reel game during the base game that can land you up to 500x if you get lucky.
SYMBOLS AND GRAPHICS
Artistically, Quickspin’s games have always been highly recognisable. And once again their distinctive style is all over this slot – everything is bathed in the usual warm oranges, yellows and browns. The reel set, made up of five reels and four rows, is set against the backdrop of a seedy wild west saloon bar. There are 40 paylines in play on every spin.
The lower value symbols are the cards, Ace, Jack, Queen and King, whilst the premium symbols are the cigar box, the whiskey glasses, and the three gun-toting badits (highest value 10x for five on a payline) who can appear as normal size, 2×2 or 3×3. GAMEPLAY AND FEATURES
In an effort to move things on from the original Quickspin have added one key feature to this game – the mini slot. This can be triggered by landing the Quick Slot symbol on reel five during the base game. This will get you anywhere between one and three spins on the slot, with a top prize of 500x available for landing three 7s on one spin. The next prize level down, the horseshoe, gets you 80x – so something to play for here.
The bonus round is called the Lucky Shot Free Spins feature. You’ll need three of the skull bandits symbols to land to trigger this, giving you seven spins. Sticky Bandits Wild Return is a high variance slot, but unlike many of those on release right now, it doesn’t have the monster payout potential that many slot fans crave. But don’t be put off by that. This is a really fun game that moves things on from the original with a slick mini slot feature and enhanced graphics and animations that show off the unrivalled skills of this game studio.
